Two funny things about the potty for M. One, she does not like to see her poo-poo. She covers her eyes until I flush it, and says "dont want to see poo-poo." Once I flush it, she then looks and waves saying "bye bye." A few days ago she did this and asked where it went. I told her it was going out to sea, she then followed up and said "its goin' down to Tuc-a-loo-sa." Dont know where that thought came from. When her daddy got home we told him the story and he corrected her saying, "No Madeline, all the poo-poo goes to Auburn."
Lance just called to ask me a question from the bathroom where he's bathing M. After I answered I heard M tell Lance, "That's my mom."
My day was made when I went to the grocery and Walmart had new shopping carts! How amazing to not struggle to find a good cart with 4 working wheels, and I couldn't believe how quiet it was though the store. Its the little things in life that please me so.

Potty Training
She likes to play jump rope with our belts
Princess on the go
Good hair day-as opposed to how crazy her hair usually looks on here. Plus, it was class picture day so I was happy to know that she was lookin' fly that day
overall cute day-outfit, hair, smile. I should sign up for "Toddlers and Tiaras." (of course I'm kidding, can anyone really see me as a pageant mom? That show makes me sick...)
Big girl panties!
So potty training has gone better than I initially anticipated (I say this on the other end of our low day which was Wednesday). Last weekend was rough (mostly due to being mentally taxed already with our friend's death), but we decided to push through and start training. Tee-tee was easier of course. M didn't poo-poo until just two days ago, but now its like a light switch went off and its not a problem. I thought she might regress when she went to school on Tuesday, but her teacher was super helpful and said she did great both days. I, on the other hand, faced my biggest fear-public restrooms with my child who has to sit down!!!!! For those of you who don't really know me, I have nightmares frequently-and most of them involve snakes and dirty toilets. Of all places to start, the first time I had to take M was at The Galleria (mall). I still don't want to think about it. I know it wasn't even as bad as its going to be when we have to stop at a gas station-yikes! Ah, I digress.....So, over all we are pumped to not be buying diapers any longer. It's like an instant boost to the vacation or date budget!

Snow and B-day party videos
We've been meaning to put some videos up on the blog. Here are two of us in the snow (last Sunday) and one of Madeline's birthday party in January. I cannot believe they canceled church for the snow-come on people! There wasn't even ice.

Please Pray
We are in shock. Our friend, Aaron, from church died tonight. He was 31 and leaves behind our friend Ashleigh, his wife and high school sweetheart, and two daughters (5 and 3). They think he either had a aneurysm or a heart attack. He was at home with the family when it happened. Please pray for Ashleigh, their girls and extended families. I am clinging right now to the hymn "What ever my God ordains is right," though everything about this situation feels the opposite. Thanks be to God for the truth in the midst of tribulation when feelings are deceiving. I know Aaron is at our Father's feet rejoicing, but oh how I wish Jesus would come back now for the rest of us.

First Pig Tails
Poor kid is sensitive to light, she can barely keep her eyes open for a camera flash-just like Poppy and Mommy.
I know you all think, "Teresa never does anything with Madeline's hair." (I also know this because you have nothing else going on in your lives but to think about me!) Truly, the reason you only see M in a bow from time to time is that she will not let me do anything to her hair. To get the above pig tails I had to bribe her and then she wanted them taken out immediately. Most of the time she looks like she's got a mullet going on, but if her hair curls just right, she looks awesome! We are potty training this weekend! M has been ready for a while, its me and Lance who are dragging our feet. I'll let you know how it goes! This is for me (who would rather blog then take the time to write it in a baby book), M's 2-year-old molars are coming in, she tells me all the time "I do it all by myself," she is becoming quite opinionated on what she wants, likes, etc..., she has to pick out the jammies she wants to wear every night, her favorites are her "skating jammies" (which are the ones with feet), she can put on her shoes and dresses herself pretty well. Right now there are workers we can see out our kitchen window. Each morning she asks me where the backhoe is. If its not there she says "I do miss the backhoe."
Yes, we had snow, but no, I have not downloaded the videos yet, so back off family! I'll do it when I can.
