Happy Days...Sleepless Nights

Funny story-last week we made two trips to the pediatrician's office for jaundice checks. They have music piped into all the rooms. From these two trips we have come to realize that they keep it on a satellite radio station that plays 70's dance hits and Classic Rock. We heard such great toons as "Feel Like Makin' Love" and "I'm Just a Love Machine." We wondered if there were any other parents in the office who were trying to explain to their 5 year olds just what "makin' love" is or who could be classified as a "love machine." Maddie had great visitors this weekend. Aunt Jenny, Aunt Tina, and two of her great grandparents! Here are some new pictures. P.S.-Like my new do?

Week 1

We're almost at the end of our first week with Maddie. It's been amazing and scary all at the same time. My mom and I took Maddie to the doctor this morning for a jaundice check up and thankfully her levels were down from Wednesday...plus the past few days have been very sunny, so we've been able to get her some rays. Here are some more pictures and we've added some more to the snapfish album. At this rate we'll have 100,000 pictures of Maddie by the time shes 10 years old. It's tough to not take a picture everytime she does something for the first time.

I'm A Little Yellow...

Well, as you can see from the pictures, Madeline has a touch of Jaundice. She has been eating like a champ, so we are hoping it will clear up shortly. She is already back to her birth weight so we are excited for that news. Her first night home was a little rough. After my parents went back to their hotel, Lance and I felt a little inadequate-like maybe we needed an adult to stay with us! By God's good grace, Maddie survived (as did we). We are continually amazed at how good the Lord has been to us. We are so thankful to Him for our precious daughter.

Day 2 was wonderful...we were able to recover and lots of our friends and family stopped by. Here's a few pictures.

She's Here!

Madeline Gail Poole was born this afternoon at 3:38pm - 7lbs 2 oz, 19 inches long. Friday morning at our doctors appt, we left a little frustrated that Teresa didn't seem to be any closer to having the baby. We prepared ourselves for the baby to be a week late, but the Lord had other plans! Teresa and Madeline are doing great...I'm a wreck...just kidding. I'll post more pictures later.

One Week to Go (hopefully)

Well, we are adding ourselves to the world of bloggers. I am 39 weeks and counting down. I have attached some pictures of our nursery and how I currently look (yikes!). We'll update this site as soon as we have some good news to post. Thanks for keeping connected with us.
