Uncle Garry and Aunt Sarah Came to Visit

We had a great time this weekend with Garry and Sarah. It was beautiful weather so we spent most of the time outside. We went to two parks, went running/walking, played tennis, threw the Frisbee, ate Tai food, Dreamland (Garry's new favorite restaurant), and hiked in Oak Mountain State Park. Maddie was a trooper! She even slept in the Baby Bjorn while we hiked. She had a button imprint on her forehead from Lance's Shirt! Garry even had to work a little (my brother is a paramedic/fireman)-we came upon an overturned vehicle in OMS park with a woman trapped inside. The rescue and fire squads were not yet on the seen. Garry tried to calm the husband and woman and keep on lookers from doing anything stupid. (P.S. had the woman been wearing her seat belt she would not have been trapped in the car).

We definitely feel how small our place is when we have company come to visit. Lance can't wait to move and have a yard to take care of. I hope we find a one story house so that I don't have to tote my little turkey up 18 stairs any longer! Though it is getting easier to carry her car seat in one hand and an equal amount of groceries in the other.

I have added a link to more Snapfish pictures if you just can't get enough of seeing our family! It's the "MGP 2nd Month."

2 Months Old and Easter Pictures

Well, we dressed up and took a picture with our own Easter Bunny. We had a costume change in the middle as you can see. I photographed her bad side. She has one ear that sticks out more than the other and its the one in the pictures. Madeline slept 8 straight hours last night! I am hoping for a repeat tonight-though I have low expectations. She has a lot more control with holding her head up, but continues to lose hair instead of growing it. Maddie has been particularly fussy the last few nights. I now understand to a small degree what some of you had to go through with your colicky babies. I have one of those huge exercise balls that we spend more time on bouncing her than working out. I really can't believe that she is 2 months old. I am kind of bummed at how big she has gotten. I feel like this is going too fast and I want it to slow down. Sometimes I just look at her and think to myself "My Word-you are huge! When did this happen?"

Happenings this past week

Gigi and Uncle JC came for dinner
We went to the park on Saturday for a picnic
Great Nana Poole, Great Aunt Idy, and Papa C came to visit
Daddy holds me while Mommy gets my bath ready (pay no attention to my big belly!)
It's not my booty that's big, it's my belly!

Well, we have been really busy, so sorry we haven't posted anything lately. Madeline had her first set of shots yesterday. She was a trooper. She is topping the scales at 12 pounds! She is getting more personality and is beginning to smile responsively. She is a morning person-which is unfortunate for Mommy because I am not. The first couple of weeks she hated having her diaper changed, but now loves her changing table. She stares out the window and babbles to it. It's actually one of the only places where she will babble. Generally she is sleeping between 5-7 hours a night. With the weather heating up we are able to get out and take walks which has been really nice. Its truly amazing how fast she is growing!

Lots of Visitors this Weekend

My college roommate, Shelina, and her 21 month old daughter Emma were able to come visit us this weekend as well as my parents (Pictures below). Madeline is now 6 weeks old. She slept 7 hours one night this week-too bad it wasn't every night. I did not sleep all 7 hours unfortunately due to the fact that I kept thinking she would be up any minute, or worse, thought she was dead! First time parent as you can tell. I tend to worry a lot about things out of my control. Story of my life! Maddie is getting so big, and has a lot more personality. She is smiling more when we talk to her and learning that her voice can reach high volumes! She does not cry very much, she just likes to shriek when she feels I am not feeding her fast enough! We are enjoying every minute of our precious girl.
