Mary Mary Quite Contrary....

 Here is our little garden a couple of weeks ago. The zucchini squash plant (NOTE: it was a singular plant which split into 5 huge plants) has since been pulled up. It was taking over the garden and only produced 2 zucchini. I found the most enormous tomato hornworm in here! It was at least 4 inches long and 1 inch thick! disgusting...click on link if you want to see what he looked like. Im not the best gardener but its been a fun little project this summer.

Madeline at 7 1/2 months. I love having two girls! There are so many dresses and outfits I get excited about putting Pax in too! After M was done with this things I wondered if I would ever need to pull them out again. Im happy to have a reason to use them.

I cant believe how busy this summer has been! I am not one to overfill a schedule but we seem to have been going 90 to nothing since mid June. Its been very sweet though. The beginning of the summer I was unsure if after surgery I would be going through the process of doing radioactive iodine treatment for thyroid cancer, but since it was so small removing my thyroid was all the treatment I needed. What a blessing that has been. We have praised the Lord many a time when thinking about what this summer could have looked like. The girls have both been so sweet lately as well. I feel like Madeline and I have turned a corner on her dragging her feet and complaining about anything and everything I ask her to do. She also has gained a lot of independence which is wonderful. I just say, go get dressed, brush your hair and teeth or go get ready for bed, and she can do it all. If only she could bathe herself now. With Paxton on the move she and Madeline really are playing well together and interacting more. Its so sweet to watch them become so attached to one another.

Paxton to coming up on one year quickly! She has a few words already "Bye bye" "Mama" "Dada" "Hi" "El-O" (for hello which she says whenever she holds a phone up to her ear). One of my least favorite stages has begun as well-the "screaming" phase. The stage between being fully able to communicate her needs and wanting gratification right now so in order to get your attention I will scream at you until I get what I want. This wears on my nerves to no end. She is especially vocal during meal times because she wants food immediately. And if she's out of what she liked best, watch out!

Looking forward to our second trip to Cincy this summer so that we can see my sister next month, and my nephew again!
