Home

Thanks so much for praying friends. Everything went well and we are home now. Won't get the pathology report back until next week. I was very calm waiting yesterday as surgery was scheduled for 9:30 but I didnt go back until noon. Your prayers were felt! You could continue to pray for no cancer and that I would have any complications from surgery-like blood clots! Im a bit of a hypochondriac about them. Also, Paxton's fever broke after 24 hours so she has been fine. Thanks for praying for her too! The Lord has been very good to us throughout and we are praising Him for His mercy upon us.

Prayers

Hello Bloggers who still read this. I have pictures from Mother's day, and a trip to Chattanooga that I keep meaning to post, but it hasn't happened yet. Would really appreciate your prayers in the morning (or right now if you are reading this Thursday morning). I am having my thyroid removed. They found I had Hashimoto's disease when we were trying to get prego with Paxton. Its an autoimmune disorder where my body is basically attacking my thyroid which causes me to be hypothyroid. Not a big deal, but can effect fertility, so I went on a pill once a day. All was well when I was pregnant, but things started to go a little haywire at the end of last year. I started seeing a specialist who did an ultrasound on my thyroid and found I have lots of nodules on it-not uncommon for someone with Hashimoto's. Also, most people will develop a nodule at some point in their lives. One nodule was a centimeter which she said we should biopsy. Then the biopsy came back "inconclusive." What a great word. The only way to know if there is cancer now is to remove part of it. I am electing for total removal because its serving me so little function right now and there are nodules on the other side as well. The Lord has been very good to give me lots of peace about this surgery. Last time I had surgery I thought for sure I was going to die. The only thing troubling me now is that Paxton woke up Wednesday running a fever. I hate the thought of leaving my sick baby with my parents for over 24 hours. She is very clingy to me when she's ill too. Please pray for her to be rid of fever. She had roseola just 3 weeks ago with high fever. Pray that I would trust that our heavenly father loves and cares for her better than anyone else and that he does the same for me. Thanks friends! Much Love to you all, T
